Why Use Biodiesel?
Biodiesel is a carbon neutral fuel. Every litre of biodiesel has taken carbon dioxide out of the air in its manufacture because it comes from plant sources. This will be more important in the future because we are trying to lower our impact on the environment by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
When fuel becomes more scarce, we will look to biodiesel as an alternative fuel. It’s easy to make and it comes from renewable resources.
If you have a cheap source of vegetable oil, this may be a cheaper way of filling up your vehicle. If you ask restaurants and fast food places for their waste vegetable oil, you might be able to acquire it for free if you take it away for them. With waste vegetable oil, it may end up being cheaper to run your car or truck on renewable fuel than it is to run on petrodiesel.
